A national mid-size company was considering purchasing and implementing an enterprise-level software platform for its business. Demonstrations by the software sales team showed a high degree of functional correlation with the purchasing company’s objectives. We asked the right questions to all stakeholders, and our product evaluation uncovered areas where the application was not adaptable in the way both parties believed it would be. Implementation of the platform would clearly have resulted in a loss of nearly $1,000,000 to the company, without factoring in any reduction of income due to interrupted service to their clients. |
